The Awesome Celtic Woman
Celtic Woman was filmed on September 15 2004 for PBS Television in front of a capacity audience. The show was organize by producer Sharon Browne. The performance was first broadcast of PBS March 2005 in the United States. Within a week the Celtic Woman debut album catapulted to #1 on Billboard’s World’s Music Chart. It went on through a breaking record of 81 weeks.
According to the observers, their success must be credited to PBS’s extensive publicity in the United States. With such talent and charisma, these girls are attractive enough to get the attention of the viewers. The group consists of Chloë Agnew, Órla Fallon, Lisa Kelly, Méav Ní Mhaolchatha and Hayley Westenra, and fiddler Máiréad Nesbitt.
