Horizontal Blinds are the blinds that are cleaned the opposite way, if you need to clean the surface then you need to brush along the horizontal area of the blinds. Shades you will need to wash the shades with a product such as a cleaning product for shades to get off the dust and dirt that has been collected in the blinds since it does take time to clean it completely and needs to be done frequently since the dust and dirt does collect almost daily, if you have light colored blinds, then it is more visible to see.
